Counting Down the Days

The doctor gave us a "target date" for "Daniel's homecoming". The "target date" is next Tuesday, the 29th. We are prepared for this next week to go by very slow. The anticipation is "killing us". We will have to keep ourselves busy so that we won't go insane so our house will probably be spotless by next Tuesday. Daniel is getting a blood transfusion today and might get one tomorrow. He is not making new red blood cells like he should for his size so they are hoping that the transfusion will help with that and with his O2. Everyone's goal is to have him weened off oxygen by the time he goes home but if Daniel decides not to cooperate he will be sent home on oxygen. He is continuing to gain weight and will probably be 5 pounds or very close to 5 pounds by the time he comes home. He is 4 pounds, 11 ounces now. We are excited and anxious. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers. Also please say a special prayer for Daniel's "Granny 2" who is in the hospital.
